I hate waste and one of the many attributes of polymer clay is that it is so versatile to work with.

In its raw state it can be moulded into any shape and, if you don't like it, it can be rolled back into a ball and the process started again. Any scraps can be combined to make a new shade. 

There really isn't any reason to throw clay away.
